AH!!! CONGRATS JENNIE!! A GIRL!!! WOOHOO!!!

Dear Mom and Family :D,

 

I am just LOVING IT HERE! Ah! Woohoo! I am filled with so many emotions of gratitude I didn't know they all existed. :D

 

The people here have the COOLEST accents!!! I feel like such an oddball haha... its a lot of sluring and mushing each word with the next (I'm sure Kimberlie could explain it to you :D) but It's fun. Sometimes someone will ask me a question and Hermana Ure answers because I obviously didn't get what they were saying haha... a humbling moment to say the least. I can't stop laughing :D Hna Ure and I laugh all the time and she says I'm a "spaz" but I just would be lying about everything if I didn't  go crazy telling people how much their Heavenly Father Loves them. :D We joke a lot and Hermana Ure has got to be one of the most patient people I've met... what with all my questions and needing many rephrasings of everything... I'm grateful that I haven't worn her out... :D Tis my goal to be of help rather than unhelpful (haha no idea how to say that :D)

 

Hermana Ure is keeping us super busy and we are out preaching the Lords gospel to all that we can. The first day I met her I was so excited: she is from California, the only girl of four (one older, two younger brothers), She LOVES good food (as in the Healthy stuff that helps you feel good about you TODOS los dias :D a tender blessing from Heavenly Father), She is a very even tempered companion (always happy and always smiling... she is just so happy and I feel like we feed off of each other... She is an amazing example of how to be obedient and Diligent. AH! She loves biking!! We  bike everyday! :D I LOVE IT!!!! Her mom is a professional chef and so she knows how to make super good healthy food. (yes... I have been trying to help make food, its not as good as hers... she is so on the ball!!! Makes me think of you mom:D). She loves music! She sang in the choir in highschool alot and we sing all the time together :). She took !7! years of Espaniol so she... lets just say that she is super patient and helps me so much with everything I say! (and she knows how to push me and how to not back down and makes me feel like I want to progress so much! I just love her!!!) I keep thinking of Annie as I am with her... she reminds me a lot of her... but she is Hermana Ure and not Annie so its like being with Annie but not being with her if that makes sense :D haha.

 

I am so excited for auntie jennie!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! AH!!! That is so exciting!!!! :D I did call it... no it wasn't a dream... just knew it ;).

 

There is Water EVERYWHERE!!! You look to your left- water, look to your right- water, look behind you- water, you look in front of you- WATER!!! Lets just say that I'm grateful that there are a lot of people here who have lived here for FOREVER or I'm sure I would be wondering "why do we go here?" haha, I love the people so much!

 

So just to help you understand how much we work over here (Hna Ure never stops and I LOVE IT!!!) my first day We went and taught a Spanish family (an hour after I got there!! haha so good!!) and after we taught the family (ok so in the lesson I had to ask one question in espaniol, give a prayer in espaniol, and read a lot of scriptures in espaniol!! crazy!!! I know the spirit was there helping me not just crumble I felt really good after the lesson :D it was AMAZING!!! 

 

After that Pres. Wall challenged us to give out one book of mormon, so Hna Ure asked me where I thought we should go... so I said the first thing that came to my mind "the park". We went there and I introduced us in spanish and bore my testimony in spanish and Hermana Ure backed me up (meaning she explained all that needed to be said and I tried to participate) and she asked me questions to ask the lady we  had just contacted right there :D AH!!! We got an appointment and gave her a book of mormon right there!! Heavenly Father was blessing us with much success and I felt so much of the Spirit and loved :D

 

The next day we taught almost 5 lessons!!! haha so ya :D Its been great over here :D
There are four companionships here in Berwick (mas cerca de Morgan City) two are an old couple The Kellers, hna Ure and I, two spanish elders, and two english elders. CRAZY!!!

 

Church was... good, different, and spiritual. The church is a first step church so the chapel is the relief society room size and there are four yw TOTAL!!! and we counted and there were 35 people there (including the 8 missionaries!) so it is a small branch but we all help each other out and do what we can.

 

MOM!!! I'm in the YW presidency! haha (there aren't many leaders so... ya) Hermana Ure and I get to go to Girls camp the first week in June!! SO good! I'm so excited!!! We are pretty much the YW presidency, the relief society visiting teachers, and a couple more things... the only thing we can't do is give people rides to places :(... oh well :D

 

Its so much fun here! I am learning so much!
The other day we were in companion study and we were talking about how much the Holy Ghost takes what we say and helps the people understand what they need to understand from our broken spanish (ok well...mine haha :D) 

I just wanted you to know that I know if you say what you feel is important and NEVER stop yourself from saying things that you're prompted to say, the Holy Ghost will be able to help "translate" for you :D. So I want you to know that even though life is busy... take a moment to read scriptures and be BOLD like they are I know that this will bring you more happiness than anything else in this world will.

I love you all my family and friends :D I'm grateful for all your examples and for the fact that you read/ skim these letters :D You all are amazing! I want you to know that I love you! I know that this love is small in comparison to Heavenly Father's but that I know that He loves you more than me... WOW that is A LOT of Love :D
